Job overview

We are recruiting a LEAD PRACTITIONER to join the Mathematics department from 1 September 2017. This very exciting role will also play a SIGNIFICANT part across the school as a whole, for example by supporting other staff members and helping to lead on a specific whole-school training strand.

As a starting point, we seek an outstanding teacher of Maths who can teach Maths at A level, GCSE and Key Stage 3, and who can also play a significant role within the school as one of our Lead Practitioners (team of five, overseen by a Vice Principal). This post offers an excellent chance to work in a school where the quality and standard of Maths is very high and where the Teaching and Learning vision across the school is incredibly exciting and all-pervasive. These types of roles are advertised very rarely, but they provide a wonderful opportunity and stepping stone, either into Department Leadership or, indeed, into Senior Leadership.

Create your legacy and inspire staff and students.

Ofsted

“The overall achievement of students is good, and outstanding for some. It is outstanding for those students who need extra help and in some subjects, including mathematics. Students’ achievement in English and in the sixth form is good and improving.”

“Much teaching in all subjects and in the sixth form is at least good, with a significant proportion that is outstanding.”
