Lead Practitioner of Mathematics required to join a fantastic Academy based in Essex!
Tes is currently seeking an ambitious Lead Practitioner of Mathematics for a friendly and supportive school seeking to expand its successful and friendly Mathematics Department. The school is a medium-sized 11 - 18 Academy catering for a wide range of learning abilities.
The Maths Department currently delivers good results across KS4/5 with good uptake within Mathematics when pupils progress to FE and HE.
The role will include coordinating the delivery of Mathematics at KS3 and GCSE/A-level, enhancing provision and supporting growth. You will drive improvement within the Mathematics Faculty and will take lead on curriculum and pupil engagement across the school. You'll also partner the AHT in charge of teaching and learning taking on exciting projects throughout the year acting as an excellent lead SLT link.

- a UK teaching qualification such as PGCE/PGDE, SCITT, BEd or MEd with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- a relevant Maths Degree or a related subject
- experience of delivering Maths up to at least GCSE, pushing and engaging learners to progress within the subject
