Required September 2018  at Wellfield High School, Yewlands Drive, Leyland, Preston, Lancashire, PR25 2TP (352 on roll)  Wellfield High School is a close-knit community school where we strive to get the balance right between support and challenge, so that every individual student achieves their personal best.   We are currently enjoying an exciting new phase at the school and we are now seeking a Lead Practitioner of Science able to teach either Physics or Chemistry to GCSE who is interested in joining our team.

This will be 45 minutes long on a topic of your choice, designed to inspire and challenge a mixed ability group of Year 9 to develop an enthusiasm and curiosity for your specialism, chemistry or physics.   Candidates should ensure that they and their referees are easily contactable, with the correct phone number and email address and able to reply promptly if references are requested.  The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.  The post you are applying for is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013).
