Job overview

We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Lead Practitioner of Science to work with our Director of Secondary Education and Trust science teams to raise students standards and progress across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Our vision is to ‘realise the life chances and dreams of every child.’ We work collaboratively to provide inspirational and transformative provision for all our learners, and with the aim of becoming an outstanding Trust.

We are a thriving and diverse Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) of 9 schools in Sheffield, 5 primary and 4 secondary, and responsible for the education of over 7,500 learners from 2 to 18. Each of our schools has its own distinctive ethos and identity that compliments the communities that we serve.

As Lead Practitioner of Science, you will have responsibility for the development and implementation of teaching and learning strategies within the science departments which raise the teaching practice of all members of the Trust science team and therefore raise student standards and progress.

At TSAT we work hard to foster the right conditions to make the Trust a great place to work. We offer a range of benefits to support you in both your professional development and wellbeing, ensuring that each of our colleagues feels valued and part of the wider Trust team.

Further information about the Trust and the role are available in the applicant information pack.

Informal discussions about the role and visits to the school are warmly welcomed. Please contact us to arrange: enquiries@taptontrust.org.uk

Applications for the role are through the TES website. The closing date is Friday 27th January with interviews to be held w/c 6th February.
