The Opportunity

We are seeking a Lead Practitioner who is a Science specialist to work closely within our extended leadership team in developing, implementing and evaluating teaching and learning within and beyond the academy. An exceptional practitioner and leader, you will play a key role in continuing our drive towards outstanding outcomes for all students. The ideal candidate would be a Chemistry or Physics specialist and be able to teach up to A level in their specialism. However, we would still welcome and consider applications from Biology specialists.

You would join an existing and growing team of highly skilled Lead Practitioners who are passionate about improving teaching and learning and hence student outcomes within the Academy. The Lead Practitioners are at the forefront of ensuring outstanding teaching and learning across the Academy. This is because Lead Practitioners play an important role in coaching colleagues to deliver high-quality teaching and learning and ensuring whole school CPD addresses strategic teaching and learning priorities.

Our mission is to develop the leadership potential in both our staff and students and we want to be at the forefront of developing the next generation of national school leaders. We can help prepare you for future career opportunities, investing in your development through regular coaching and a wide range of professional development opportunities, such as the NPQSL/NPQH.
