Job overview

Lead Teacher - Science

Due to the expansion of our pastoral team, there is the opportunity for a Lead Teacher to join our Science Faculty.  The role will incorporate supporting the Raising Standards team in the school and PPM students.

Come and join our forward looking, student-focused, energetic team – we work hard, but we work smart and we always work together. We are well resourced, with a wealth of material prepared in-house for the new specifications, and we are always looking to improve and ‘raise the bar’. We need you to help us move forward with your attention to detail and drive.

We believe that all staff and pupils should be treated with respect and have built a culture based on respect for each other, resilience to meet new challenges and take responsibility for our actions and our learning.

We have incredible students at EWS. We are passionate about providing them with the best possible education and we place them at the heart of everything we do. Our students are well behaved, happy, engaging, and have a desire to learn. They are very proud to be EWS students.

If you are a committed teacher who shares our passion for educating motivated and enthusiastic students, we would love to hear from you.

 About EWS:

Elizabeth Woodville School is an inclusive comprehensive school with approximately 1100 students. Elizabeth Woodville is part of Tove Learning Trust which is a rapidly growing trust whose vision is to ensure that all pupils in the trust academies are provided with outstanding educational experiences that lead to outstanding outcomes. This includes all aspects of school life with pupils achieving to the very best of their ability.

Our school is located on two sites, Roade and Deanshanger. We operate as one school with staff working across both sites. There are many benefits to being on two sites, including access to excellent sporting facilities, a broad and balanced curriculum with a range of options to choose in key stage 4 and good quality staff. The most important benefit for our students is that each site has an excellent pastoral system which means that all students are known, and no one becomes just a number. Our ambition is to create an exciting and vibrant learning community where students enjoy success in and outside of the classroom. Our school values of: ambition, confidence, curiosity, leadership and respect are important as they are qualities which will enable our students to succeed whatever their future ambitions.

Our recent Ofsted report confirms that we are going in the right direction and that we have a clear understanding of what we need to improve and how to improve.

Benefits:

There are many attractive benefits to working at EWS, including:

* On-site parking

* Rural location

* On site Nursery

* Swimming pool/gym membership

* Friendly and caring team environment
