We are looking to recruit an inspirational and talented teacher to lead our Modern Foreign Languages department and take it to the next level of successful performance.

Sir Thomas Wharton Academy is part of the Maltby Learning Trust, a vibrant and inspiring place to work and learn, striving to secure excellence in all aspects of its work. The Academy joined the Trust in April 2017 and staff and students are benefitting from the opportunities presented by working in a locality based Multi-Academy Trust. 

The person appointed will be an excellent practitioner in French, across all age ranges and abilities. An appropriately qualified person could also deliver Spanish to A level in our collaborative Sixth Form.  Opportunities exist to connect with our local primary schools.

The post will provide an excellent opportunity for an ambitious leader, with proven examination experience, to step into middle leadership and develop alongside other talented leaders within a strong leadership framework.

Sir Thomas Wharton Academy is a good secondary school of over 1100 students with a thriving and growing collaborative Post 16 provision. The Academy joined Maltby Learning Trust on 1st April 2017 and secured an OFSTED Good judgement in September 2021. We are now oversubscribed each year and we are very fortunate to be housed in a new building with state-of-the-art facilities.
