Job overview
This is an opportunity for an ECT or experienced Computer Science Teacher to join our supportive, professional and committed team from September 2022 or earlier.
The successful candidate will have the ability to teach KS3 and KS4 Computer Science across all age and ability ranges. You will be an effective classroom teacher with the ability to raise the achievement of all students and be keen to play a full part in the life of the school. You will be proficient in programming to at least GCSE standard.
As Lead Teacher of Computer Science, you will have overall responsibility for the management and leadership of Computer Science in the school. You will work as part of the Science Faculty and benefit from the support and guidance of the Head of Faculty.
The school has had Computer Science on the curriculum since its inception in 2011 and it is a popular and successful subject.
Prendergast Vale School is an all through school, nursery to Year 11, and rated as Good by Ofsted in February 2018. It is one of the top performing mixed schools for E-Bacc in Lewisham. The school benefits from being part of the Leathersellers’ Federation of Schools and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with colleagues across the Federation.

We are committed to providing excellent CPD for Middle Leaders and offer the accredited National Award for Middle Leaders (NPQML) to all Middle Leaders.
