About the Position

Contract Type: Full-Time

Salary: Based on experience

Start Date: September 2025

The ICT Subject Leader will teach ICT (and/or Computing) and lead the department.

You will be responsible for:

  • The day-to-day running of the subject within the school;
  • Leading and provide a point of contact for all matters concerning the teaching of ICT;
  • Raising the profile of ICT within the curricular and co-curricular programme;
  • ensuring that courses are maintained and updated in line with changing School and societal needs;
  • Monitoring national subject-specific initiatives and the development of appropriate syllabuses, resources, schemes of work and teaching and learning strategies in the subject and to inform the Director of Learning of any significant changes.


We are looking for someone who has:

  • A specialism in ICT with the ability to teach GCSE (level 2 qualifications), A Level and/or BTEC (level 3 qualifications) in the subject.
  • Experience being an excellent classroom practitioner who can lead by example.
  • A passion for education and an awareness of wider educational issues.
