The Governors of Holy Family Catholic Academy are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated and inspirational individual to lead English across the academy. We are currently entering into a very exciting stage in the history of the academy, joining the highly-respected, Wellspring multi-academy trust from September.
HFCA is a smaller than average sized 11-16 sponsored academy that was established in September 2013. In 2016, we saw a strong improvement in outcomes for students across a range of performance indicators. In our first Ofsted report, we were judged ‘Good’ across all categories, and we are proud to be a rapidly improving and highly ambitious school with rising student numbers. The Academy has a strong reputation for its inclusive provision and pastoral care.
We are seeking an outstanding classroom teacher and an inspirational leader who will lead the improvement agenda for the English curriculum and achieve outstanding results for all students irrespective of background or prior attainment. The successful candidate will have departmental responsibility for English within the academy.
The successful person will:
- Hold QTS and have the ability to inspire, motivate, challenge and support our students and parents to be the best they can be
- Have overall responsibility for English within the academy
- Have the ability, drive and passion to raise standards in teaching and learning in English
- Have an understanding of how bring about rapid and sustained improvement in student outcomes
- Be given line manager responsibility for outcomes for subjects included in the Basics Faculty
- Be given a fantastic opportunity to broaden their experience in a highly rewarding role whilst enhancing their CV
