Job overview

Are you looking for the next challenge on your teaching and leadership journey?

Are you ready to lead a department where Ofsted (February 2020) highlighted that “Pupils achieve well in English”?

Would you like to work in a school which has just secured a double “Good” Ofsted judgement (February 2020) for its education and residential provisions?

Do you want to make a significant difference to the lives of our fantastic children and work with a body of talented colleagues and group of supportive parents?

Are you ready to step up into a Middle Leadership Role and would welcome the opportunity to work with a supportive Leadership team.

Would you like to be part of the team which delivers lasting impact and outcomes for our young people and the community we are proud to serve?

Would you like to work as part of a national network of schools which specialises in improving the educational outcomes of young people?

If the answer to each of the above questions is “yes” then you could be our new Lead Teacher of English (with Media or Drama) with a whole school responsibility for the delivery of English and associated subjects across the school.

We positively welcome applications from dynamic English, Drama, and Media candidates.

This is an exciting time for a new leader to join Potterspury Lodge School.  There is a new Leadership Team in situ from January 2020 which secured a double “Good” Ofsted rating in February 2020. Our new Lead Teacher will be instrumental as part of the rapid change, re-launch and reinvigoration at Potterspury Lodge School.  The post holder will be expected to work closely with the Leadership Team and for the right candidate there will be the opportunity to progress to be an Associate Senior Leader.

We are looking to appoint a high calibre, ambitious English leader who is dedicated to both engaging our children, and is resolute to believing that all our children can achieve. The successful post holder will be well organised, energetic, and be willing to go the extra mile.  Our new English Leader will already have a proven track record of successful teaching at Key Stages Three and Four alongside being ready to shape curriculum and policy across the whole school.
