We are now looking for a Lead Teacher of History to join our team. This is a key position in the leadership of the school as we look to build on the impressive improvements we have already made. As Lead Teacher this colleague will have oversight of the History curriculum area, with responsibility for driving improvements in teaching and learning and outcomes. This role would be ideal for someone who is an outstanding teacher looking to move into leadership, or someone who has held a leadership role and is looking for their next challenge.

Key duties

● Embed an outstanding History curriculum

● Lead and inspire teachers within the subject area

● Lead and inspire colleagues to plan and teach high quality lessons, following the QES Signature Teaching and Learning Approach, while modelling the very best practice and the highest of expectations

● Assess students’ learning to inform planning and teaching

● Be responsible and accountable for achieving the highest possible standards in teaching and learning and conduct/behaviour

● Treat students with dignity, building relationships rooted in mutual respect
