Lead Teacher of Maths

Darton Academy are looking to appoint a Lead Teacher of Maths to join our academy in September 2021 on a full time, permanent basis. You will provide pedagogic leadership as an outstanding classroom practitioner, playing a key part in raising standards through the model of your own excellent teaching and by supporting the professional development of your colleagues. We want all our students to develop a love of learning and be taught by the very best in the profession, giving them every opportunity to excel. The ultimate aim will be to improve the learning experience and increase the outcomes of students, whatever their ability.

This is an exciting time to join our school. Darton Academy joined Delta Academies Trust in October 2018 and we have started with confidence on the journey towards ‘outstanding’. As the highest performing secondary school in Barnsley for Progress 8 and one of the most improved schools in the country we are making real progress already.  We are a happy and vibrant school which serves the communities of Darton, Kexborough and surrounding areas.  We are within easy reach of Leeds, Wakefield and Sheffield, as the academy is located minutes from J38 of the M1.
