Job overview

LEAD TEACHER PHYSICS (TLR 2B £4784)

Ideally situated for both Manchester, the stunning countryside of Saddleworth and the Pennines, the College is a very successful and oversubscribed 11-16 Academy within the Pinnacle Learning Trust, which consists of ourselves, Oldham Sixth Form College and Werneth Primary School.

We are an OFSTED graded good school across all areas and our Progress 8 score always indicates that students make good or better progress.

We are looking to appoint a lead teacher of physics from September 2021.  This is role suitable for those with leadership responsibility or those seeking their first promotion.

We are a forward-thinking school and will embrace new ideas to take this subject to the next level for us and, most importantly, our students, including the introduction of triple science from this September.

Should you wish to apply for the post, please complete the online TES application form and include up to two pages of supplementary information about what you would bring to the role and the impact of your experience to date.

If you require more information, please contact Danielle Hunt, PA to the Principal, on 0161 770 8514 or by email dhu@hathershaw.org.uk.  The Principal is happy to have discussions with prospective applicants and answer any questions candidates might have.

Closing Date: Thursday 13th May 2021

Shortlisting: Friday 14th May 2021

Interviews: Week beginning 17th May 2021
