Job overview

As a Teacher at  Hall Cliffe School, you'll get to deliver the kind of education you always wanted to. You’ll have superb leadership, specialist support and state-of-the-art-facilities, allowing you to focus on delivering the National Curriculum to a group of primary and secondary aged pupils in a memorable way. Committed to fulfilling the potential of each and every one of our students, no matter what their educational needs (including emotional and social difficulties, autistic spectrum conditions and speech and language communication difficulties), you share our belief that all young people are capable of achieving great things. You'll be part of our leadership group, supporting others to develop their pedagogy, curriculum plans and strategies to best meet the needs of both individuals and groups.

This is why we’re only interested in hearing from superb classroom practitioners. Those who take the National Curriculum and bring it alive in a way that’s meaningful and engaging to our students. Ideally you’ll have experience of dealing with complex education needs, as you’ll need to connect with our students – understanding what makes them unique and working to make a real difference to their social and emotional development. But none of this fazes you, as it’s what you’re passionate about. And why you’ll fit right in.

Hall Cliffe School is a day school catering for up to 104 boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 16. The school is located in a beautiful Grade 2 listed building, with state of the art facilities, which allow us to deliver a creative curriculum. Alongside our academic subjects, our young people have access to our brand new, off site Vocational Centre that opened in September 2018. We offer courses such as Motor Vehicle, Construction and Hair and Beauty, allowing our young people to grow and reach their full potential.

For children and young people with complex, challenging needs, the level of care and education must go above and beyond. That’s what drives us, here at Witherslack Group. We are a leading provider of specialist education and care for children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs, communication difficulties, complex learning needs and challenging behaviours. We have a reputation for excellence and of achieving the highest possible outcomes. In short, we’re enhancing life opportunities.

Reward

We know you’re going to do great things. For your hard work and commitment, we want to reward you with a salary and benefits package that’s among the best in our sector. You’ll receive a competitive salary, Teacher Pension Scheme or a range of flexible pension options to suit personal circumstances (where applicable) and comprehensive induction and ongoing training, as well as extensive Group staff benefits such as Medicash Health Plan/Employee Assistance and Cycle to Work Scheme. Witherslack conducts DBS Enhanced checks and covers the costs for all new employees.

For more information please contact Gill Black - Senior Administrator on 01924 663420.
