Hallfield is a forward thinking and inclusive community school with a thriving community made up of fantastic children, supportive parents, outstanding staff and strategic governors. We are situated in the heart of Bayswater.
Acorns is a new provision for nursery aged children with Autism which has been added to the school to complement its already excellent SEND provision.
The Governors are looking to appoint a lead teacher.
This person will play a key role, supported by the Headteacher and Inclusion Manager, in opening and maximising the success of our new specialist provision for up to eight nursery aged children with Autism or on a pathway to receiving a diagnosis of Autism. The provision is due to open in September 2021 for a small number of children (up to four) and it will expand in size from there. The provision will be situated in a newly redesigned section in the heart of the school building.
The successful candidate will be a talented, passionate and suitably experienced practitioner. They must have a clear understanding and experience of effective teaching and learning as well as of raising and sustaining achievement within specialist Autism provision. They must be a strong communicator and team player and able to engage effectively with the children, staff and parents/carers on a daily basis. They will also need to be enthusiastic, highly motivated and have the belief in the potential of every individual child as well as the drive to support all children to become the best they can be.
You will be joining a friendly and hardworking team who constantly strive to raise standards for the children and themselves within a successful primary school.
Viewings of the school/conference calls with the Headteacher and Inclusion Manager prior to making an application are highly recommended. Please feel free to call and speak to Aaron Sumner the Headteacher if you require any further information on 0207 087 4960.
The closing date for application is: Monday 19th April 9.00am
