Co-op Academy Priesthorpe is seeking a highly skilled, ambitious and inspirational individual to lead our Computer Science department.   This department delivers Computer Science to Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 and Media to KS4.

You will be a strong practitioner with a passion for your subject. As a leader, you will demonstrate that you have experience of leading and motivating a team and a record of successful outcomes, within a subject or other area of school performance. You will be motived to succeed and be committed to improving the outcomes for students in your area of responsibility.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced teacher or a recently qualified teacher who is looking to progress their career within a growing Academy Trust. You will have the drive, energy and enthusiasm to work with our existing team to further build on the progress already made.

You will be confident ambassador for the department and passionate about driving a curriculum and educational provision that is demanding, yet inclusive.  The role offers the successful candidate a challenge that will be both rewarding and fulfilling, with the support to achieve your own personal career goals and aspirations, whilst demonstrating a real commitment to co-operative values and principles.

Please take time to review the Co-operative Academies Trust brochure which outlines ‘Why work for CAT?’  In addition, Trust employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including discounted gym memberships, leisure offers, childcare vouchers, cycle to work, Co-op Credit Union, season ticket and rental deposit loans, cash-back healthcare scheme and co-operative discount offers.

We would encourage you to come and meet our students and staff in the department, including an informal discussion with the Faculty Leader. Please contact Mandy Carlton (m.carlton@priesthorpe.org) to arrange a visit.
