Job overview

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and forward thinking Subject Leader for ICT to inspire and lead our pupils in the world of IT 100% pass rate for Btec L2 and L3 in 2016 Training will be available to develop computer science skills if necessary.

Purpose:

  • To ensure provision of an appropriately broad, balanced relevant and differentiated curriculum for students in ICT, in accordance with the aims of the school and curricular policies determined by the MAT Governing Body and Headteacher of the school.
  • To achieve high standards and meet the targets for performance in IT
  • To develop and enhance the quality of teaching in IT and the effective use of IT in learning across all subjects
  • To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students both within IT and as a form tutor

  • Exude a passion for IT and its application to student learning and the wider world of work.

Thomas Becket Catholic School is a mixed Roman Catholic secondary school for 11- to 18-year-olds in Northampton. There are currently around 846 students in attendance. The sixth form offers pupils the chance to study AS, A-Level and BTEC qualifications.

Thomas Becket Catholic School achieved its best ever exam results at GCSE and A-Level in 2016, making it one of the top co-educational schools in Northampton.
