Located at the heart of Weardale, an area of outstanding natural beauty, Wolsingham School is approximately 15 minutes drive west of Durham. The school is set in extensive grounds having benefited from a new building in April 2016. The Creative Arts Faculty (comprising of Music and Art) is situated in our newest part of the school with purpose-built classrooms as well as three peripatetic practice rooms. 

We are seeking to appoint a Faculty Leader for Creative Arts with a specialism in Music who is passionate about Teaching and Learning and is committed to ensuring the progress of all students. Whether you are an outstanding classroom practitioner with aspirations to be a mid-leader, currently a Second in Department looking to expand your leadership experience of if you are simply ready for a new challenge, we would love to hear from you. 

The school itself was founded in 1614 and for over 400 years students at Wolsingham have benefitted from our innovative approach to education. Our “Ready” curriculum, army and police cadets, House system, vertical tutor groups as well as awe and wonder extra-curricular visits mean that when our young people leave Wolsingham School they are fully prepared for life.
