Whether you are an outstanding classroom practitioner with aspirations to be a mid-leader, currently a Second in Department looking to expand your leadership experience or if you are simply ready for a new challenge, you could play a key part in the School’s future as Leader of the ICT and Vocational Faculty.

Wolsingham School is located approximately 15 minutes drive to the west of Durham City and in April 2016 students and staff moved into a brand new school. The school itself was founded in 1614 and for over 400 years students at Wolsingham have benefited from our innovative approach to education. Our “Ready” curriculum, army and police cadets, House system, vertical tutor groups as well as awe and wonder extra-curricular visits mean that when our young people leave Wolsingham School they are fully prepared for life. We welcome applications from colleagues who are interested in the wider roll of education and are interested and willing to play an active role outside of the classroom.

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic Leader for the ICT and Vocational Studies Faculty who is passionate about Teaching and Learning and is committed to ensuring the progress of all students within the faculty. If you have a strong commitment to the continuous improvement of students’ learning experience and wish to work as part of a successful, forward thinking team to enthuse students with a love of ICT & Vocational studies we would love to hear from you. Applicants must be able to teach one or more of the subjects within the faculty, these include Business Studies, Computing, ICT, Health & Social Care and Travel & Tourism.
