The key responsibilities are:
- To lead the MFL team.
- To be responsible for the quality of teaching and students’ progress at KS3, 4 and 5 – in French, German and Spanish.
- To have the highest expectations of what young people can achieve.
- To promote the development of excellent teaching in MFL.
- To monitor and hold the MFL team to account for standards and student progress.
- To carry out the professional duties of a teacher as circumstances may require and in accordance with the school's policies under the direction of the Headteacher.
- To be an effective professional who demonstrates thorough curriculum knowledge, can teach and assess effectively, take responsibility for professional development and has a track record of supporting excellent progress for students.
- To promote the ethos and good reputation of the school, ensuring effective communication both internally and externally.
- To sustain improvements over time – for both students and staff.

The Angmering School is a co-educational school based in West Sussex for students aged 11-18. It is a non-denominational school.
