Leader of Religious Education (MPS/UPR plus TLR 2c - £6,646)

We are seeking to appoint a driven, innovative and inspiring Leader of RE to deliver a curriculum that is exciting, innovative and diverse.  The successful candidate will ensure an excellent provision of RE across the school and ensure are students are positively engaged in learning and make progress.

Biddick Academy is a thriving, oversubscribed secondary school conveniently located 10 minutes’ drive from Newcastle and Durham. The successful candidate will have:

• Evidence of improving teaching and learning and raising achievement within RE;

• Ability to interpret and act on a wide range of key data to inform practice and expectations;

• An excellent knowledge of the RE curriculum and the ability to identify priorities and constructing an improvement plan within the subject;

• Excellent leadership skills and an ability to motivate, support and challenge staff as appropriate.
