The Bishop of Winchester Academy is an oversubscribed and thriving Church of England School, recognised by Ofsted as ‘Improving the life chances of all our pupils’ (May 2017). We are looking for exceptional and inspirational Leaders of Learning Character. This person will support the Head of Learning Character in leading on Behaviour and developing the Learning Character of the Academy.
This role is pivotal to the continued progress of the Academy.
We are looking for a person who believes in a strong, ‘tough love’ approach to discipline and that you understand the importance of fostering a growth mindset with pupils.
If you expect high standards, offer no excuses and believe strongly that children should be respectful and self-disciplined at all times then this may be the role for you.

About The Bishop of Winchester Academy
The Bishop of Winchester Academy, based in Bournemouth, Dorset, is a Church of England secondary school that prides itself on its curriculum, governance and outstanding student behaviour. Students aged 11-18 experience teaching in new state-of-the-art buildings and have first-class resources at their fingertips. The school operates in an area where there are schools that select for entry on grounds of ability.
The mixed secondary school was opened in September 2010 as a sponsor-led academy. In September 2014, the Bishop of Winchester Academy extended its educational opportunities by opening its own sixth form.
