Job overview

Learner Support is an expanding, well-established service graded as Good by Ofsted in 2016. We are looking for Learning Support Workers to provide consistent high quality support to learners, many of whom have an Education, Health and Care Plan. The positions are available at Merton College.

You will have a clear understanding of the educational impact of a wide range of specific learning difficulties or disabilities and an excellent range of strategies to support learners to succeed on mainstream courses. You will also have excellent mentoring and note-taking skills and person centred approach. You will be supporting learners studying across the whole range of College courses and from Level 1 to 3, therefore, you should also have a level two qualification in English and Maths at grade C or equivalent. 

The working hours will be 36 per weeks and will be spread across 5 days during term time (38 weeks per annum).
