Job overview
We are looking for an experienced and committed Learning and Medical Support Assistant, who has worked with students in an education setting or in the voluntary sector, to join our friendly Student Services Team. This is a temporary post that will run for the duration of the A Level course until the end of the summer term 2021, in the first instance.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive and successful department. The postholder will provide 1:1 support to students to help them with their overall development and academic work whilst supporting their physical and mental wellbeing in a college environment. This will include support with personal care, assisting with specific needs and physical disabilities, particularly for an individual male student.
We are looking for a kind, caring and sensitive individual with a positive attitude, plenty of enthusiasm and high levels of integrity and professionalism.
The salary will be on the sixth form college support staff salary scale between Points 22 and 25, currently £18,780 – £20,765 pro rata per annum depending on experience, plus £2,571 London Weighting pro-rata per annum. As this is a term-time only post, the actual salary will be in the range of £17,793 to £19,447 inclusive per annum depending on experience.
