Applications are invited from suitably qualified people for the following position: Learning & Teaching Consultant (Secondary)

Location: either Lismore, Coffs Harbour or Port Macquarie

Full Time - 5 Year Recurring Contract

Commencing 18th January 2021


The purpose of the role is to provide leadership, advice and support in curriculum, pedagogy and assessment within the Catholic Schools Office. This is a senior leadership role and the position is delegated by the Assistant Director - Learning Services, to provide specialist support in the area of curriculum.

The successful candidate will lead education role holders in the provision of quality professional learning to build teacher capacity and improve learning outcomes for students within the educational mission of the Church. The position is delegated to provide staff leadership to designated members of the Learning and Teaching team.


The Selection Criteria includes:

● Being a flexible and an adaptable leader who has the capacity to think strategically to enable the provision of services to those schools with specific needs and to those requiring different levels of support.

● Highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills which are essential for providing leadership to the wide ranging aspects of the role.

● Demonstrated effectiveness as a secondary teacher and experience as a senior middle leader or equivalent role within learning and teaching.

● Evidence of working effectively to achieve sustained change and innovation.
