Fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Learning Assistant to join a great team.

The Bishop Creighton Academy, part of the Greenwood Academies Trust (GAT), is located in Peterborough. We joined the Trust in April 2015 and have recently undergone significant work to improve the indoor learning environment, the academy now offers an attractive semi-open plan school with an attractive KS2 library, large KS1 shared area and a spacious P.E./assembly hall. 

The successful Learning Assistant will reinforce the excellent work of the teaching staff by supporting individuals or small groups both within and outside of the classroom environment. You will be a professional role model to the pupils, with the confidence to challenge and the creativity to motivate.

You will need to;

• have experience of working a primary school; including working with pupils who have Special Educational Needs or Disabilities or with pupils who have English as an additional language

• have experience of successfully delivering a range of intervention programmes

• have a range of behaviour management strategies and teaching skills

• be well organised and have high expectations of achievement and behaviour

• possess excellent communication skills at all levels in order to be able to liaise effectively with parent/carers and outside agencies

This role is for 25 hours a week, Monday to Friday and is required in term time only; therefore this is reflected in the pro rata salary.

The Bishop Creighton Academy is supported by Greenwood Academies Trust, serving the East Ward and Peterborough areas.
