Job overview

Permanent, Full & Part Time (Term Time Only, 40 weeks per annum)

Joining us as Learning Coach, you will support or mentor learners with social, emotional and mental health needs, a disability, learning difficulty or medical condition, and/or with ESOL, English and Maths support needs, to enable them to successfully complete their qualifications, course and where appropriate, education and health and care plan outcomes.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in education, especially for those who are recent graduates and looking to become a teacher.

Experience is not essential, all that we ask is that you are able to take guidance and direction from Support Managers and academic staff and can use your own initiative, being organised and able to prioritise. You’ll need to be able to communicate well at all levels and have good administration skills to allow you to keep high quality written records of learner progress and set appropriate smart targets based on EHCP outcomes, agreed support plans and coursework.

Experience of working successfully with young people or adults who have social emotional and mental health needs, a disability, learning difficulty, medical condition and who have ESOL, English and Maths support needs in an educational setting is desirable.

Closing date for the return of a complete online application is 30th November 2021

The benefits package includes generous annual leave plus up to 7 additional days over Christmas/New Year as well as an additional 5 days Wellbeing leave to enhance employees’ physical and mental health. This leave is all in addition to Bank Holiday entitlement. There is an excellent pension scheme that receives a significant financial contribution from the employer (Teachers Pensions or Local Government Pension Scheme), subsidised sports facilities and professional development and training plus a salary sacrifice cycle to work scheme. The benefits package will be pro-rata for part time vacancies.
