The Collegiate Trust is looking to make an appointment of a Learning Coach at Waterfield Primary School.

The role of Learning Coach forms an integral part of our school. At Waterfield Learning Coaches act in a role similar to that of the traditional teaching assistant: monitoring, supporting and providing care to children across the school. Collaborating with the teaching team, and under the direction of the Assistant Principal, you will be responsible for instigating, supporting and monitoring learning opportunities in an inspiring and safe environment.  Learning Coaches can work across any year group/key stage and/or may be assigned to also support key children. On this occasion, we are especially looking for learning coaches with experience in supporting children with specific learning and emotional barriers to learning. The position in mind will be to support a group of key children in Lower Key Stage Two. However, applications will be considered for different opportunities that may present as the profile of our school changes, please indicate previous experience in all settings to build a profile of your strengths. Opportunities also are available in Year 6 and we would very much encourage applicants to share any relevant educational experience for an opportunity within our School.

At Waterfield there are two levels of Learning Coach – Level 1 and Level 2. Application can be made for either and based on the experience of the candidate and the requirement of the school appointments will be discussed and allocated. Please specify if you wish for Mornings only or Full Time.

If you would like to book an appointment to view the school please contact the Principal’s Assistant at: aroman@waterfiedlschool.co.uk

The Collegiate Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service. Appointment will be dependent upon further health, medical and attendance checks.
