The Sheffield College
The Sheffield College is making a significant investment in teaching, learning and the student experience by seeking to appoint a number of Learning and Development Coaches. In this role you will support the improvement and enhancement of our Teaching, Learning and Assessment by providing tailored coaching to our delivery staff.
Working with a particular curriculum area you will also work with other Learning and Development Coaches and the Quality team to ensure the effective embedding of cross college practices.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference and help us achieve our ambition, which is to provide outstanding teaching, learning and assessment to all of our students and apprentices.
These roles will be pivotal in ensuring that the College rapidly realises that ambition. You will be responsible for developing communities of practice and a learning culture which enables staff to be professionally reflective, adaptive and resilient, in the pursuit of providing an environment that enables students to progress beyond expectations and achieve their goals.
Appointees will also undertake teaching for a proportion of their role to keep their professional practice current. We have opportunities for people to act as a full time learning and development coach and also for people to work a fraction as a Learning and Development Coach and a fraction as a Lecturer.
If you are an outstanding teacher, passionate about supporting others to develop their craft and have the skills to support and coach colleagues on a peer to peer basis then we look forward to hearing from you.
We are seeking Learning and Development Coaches to work within the following areas:
Media and Performing Arts, Design and Visual Arts, Engineering, Construction and/or Computing, Business, Catering and Hospitality/Travel and Tourism, Hair and Beauty, Science and/or Dental, Health and Social Care and/or Childcare, English and Maths, ESOL and English as a Foreign Language, Land Based and Animal Care, Sport and Protective Services, Access and Academic Studies.’
