We are seeking an ambitious and dynamic colleague who shares our vision of teaching as a vocation, and who will seize an exciting opportunity to work at Rugby School. The successful candidate will join a forward-thinking department and teach Learning Development (SEN) lessons to students throughout the School. Lessons are in small groups or on a 1-1 basis. Applicants should hold or be prepared to study for, a recognised SpLD teaching qualification (level 5 or above) and have experience of working with SEN pupils.


Rugby offers the International Baccalaureate alongside A Levels. The School is delighted to offer all students the chance to study the IB, a programme closely aligned with Rugby’s ethos of developing the whole person. Rugby is renowned for its highly successful and innovative approach to education. As a coaching school we are looking for staff who are committed to a professional obligation to improve as teachers and who value personal growth. 


The School is a boarding and day school in full operation seven days per week including evenings during term time. Pastoral, co-curricular, cultural and sports activities take place outside normal day-school hours. Part time staff are not expected to contribute to the broader School curriculum but have the opportunity to do so should they wish to.


Suitable for an NQT or experienced teacher.


This is a part time position and we looking to recruit 2 candidates to cover various hours to support our boarding school provisions. Please specify in your application your preferred hours of work.
