Vision for education are currently seeking an enthusiastic Learning Difficulties Teaching Assistant for day to day, long term and permanent work in specific SEND provisions. These settings provide welcoming and friendly environments and the ability to gain a wealth of experience. The roles available are specific to:
SpLD, MLD, SLD and PMLD
The successful candidate for this Learning Difficulties Teaching Assistant role will hold the ability to demonstrate their skills and knowledge in 1:1 and group settings.
Assist in the delivery of specific programmes for students as directed by the Specialist Teacher for SpLD, MLD, SLD, PMLD
Monitor and provide feedback on delivered strategies to Specialist Teacher for SpLD, MLD, SLD, PMLD.
Motivate and encourage student(s) as required by providing levels of individual attention, reassurance and help with living and learning tasks as appropriate to students’ needs.
Monitor students’ responses to living and learning activities through observation and planned recording of achievement
Establish supportive relationships and trust with identified students.
Follow behaviour management plans or other specific strategies as directed, consistently and effectively in line with agreed policy.
Give students feedback on achievements in order to reinforce and develop self-reliance and self-esteem.
