This role is term time only - 36 hours per week.

About Bishop David Brown School

Bishop David Brown is a rapidly improving school with excellent opportunities for professional development for the successful candidate.

Under the leadership of a motivated and supportive leadership team the staff are offered every opportunity to develop their skills including an excellent middle leadership structure. We seek to employ enthusiastic and inspiring professionals to join a team of enthusiastic and supportive staff who are committed to working creatively with our young people to raise standards and enable them all to achieve. In return we offer a supportive and stimulating environment with a comprehensive CPD programme and opportunities for further development.

The students at this school are well behaved and engaged.  The school has a performing arts specialty that enables students to widen their experiences to provide well balanced individuals that are attractive candidates for local colleges.  It also offers the opportunity to link other subject areas into a creative framework.  The school offers a wide range of curriculum subjects to GCSE standard and extra-curricular opportunities that include a steel band.

The school is at the centre of a regeneration project of the local area that will see rapid change to the facilities and environment of local people.  Bishop David Brown has been identified by the local authority as a growing school that will double in size in the next five years.  This growth will also result in renovated and updated facilities for staff and students.

If you would like to visit us you would be more than welcome.  Our experience shows that candidates who visit our school always subsequently apply.

"There is a warm and friendly atmosphere that pervades the school and a great sense of pride among staff and pupils " Ofsted 2018
