Job overview

Steyning Grammar School is a unique comprehensive school, with 2250+ students on roll (425+ are in the Sixth Form College), set in the beautiful South Downs countryside.  The campus spreads across three sites: Shooting Field, Steyning (KS4-5), Church Street, Steyning (KS3) and Rock Road, Storrington (KS3). We are a day and residential school, with a boarding provision based at the Church Street campus and a thriving Sixth Form College based at the Shooting Field campus. In September 2021 we will be moving KS5 to a dedicated sixth form campus with a specialist workshop.  This will be an exciting opportunity for a new Learning Leader of Product Design to build the A-level course further in a sixth form only space.

Ofsted

“Students are extremely keen to learn: they take every opportunity to be involved in classroom activities and to support the learning of others. Students work exceptionally well together on group tasks and advise one another on how to improve with very little direction from the teacher. When given responsibility for their learning, students accept this with relish”.
