John Whitgift Academy is looking to appoint a Learning Manger to start at their academy in January 2020.   The role will involve supporting learning through the use of data, strategic intervention and monitoring in order to maximise student attainment.

John Whitgift Academy is the highest performing academy in North East Lincolnshire and is in the top 4% of most improved academies in the country.  Its student population is rapidly growing with numbers leaving in 2019 compared to those joining, increasing by 200%.  Behaviour is good with a relentless focus upon learning, aspiration and in establishing quality effective relationships between students, staff and the local community. Outcomes in 2018 were above national average in all main categories and the academy is very fortunate to have exceptional facilities, such as swimming pools, an engineering base and a 220 seat private cinema.

John Whitgift Academy have over 730 students on role aged 11 to 16. Our academy is situated close to the A180 making it ideal for commuting. Despite being one of the most rapidly growing academies in North East Lincolnshire, due, primarily to our success and outcomes, relationships between students and staff are excellent and we have maintained a small school friendly atmosphere.
