John Whitgift Academy have over 730 students on role aged 11 to 16. Our academy is situated close to the A180 making it ideal for commuting. Despite being one of the most rapidly growing academies in North East Lincolnshire, due, primarily to our success and outcomes, relationships between students and staff are excellent and we have maintained a small school friendly atmosphere. Behaviour in our academy is good with a relentless focus upon learning and aspiration.

We are a fully inclusive caring academy which promotes community and social cohesion based on the simple principles of courtesy, co-operation, tolerance and mutual respect. We demand personal excellence from students of all ages and abilities, providing them with the necessary support to become responsible citizens. We offer each student a personalised and up to date learning pathway that meets the needs of all learners and ensures that all students are prepared for the next stage in their learning journey, whether that is college, apprenticeships, the world of work or university. John Whitgift Academy is the highest performing academy in North East Lincolnshire and is in the top 4% of most improved academies in the country. Its student population is rapidly growing with numbers leaving in 2019 compared to those joining, increasing by 200%. Behaviour is good with a relentless focus upon learning, aspiration and in establishing quality effective relationships between students, staff and the local community. The academy is very fortunate to have exceptional facilities, such as swimming pools, an engineering base and a 207 seat private cinema.
