Learning mentor, Grade 4, 30 hours per week (Monday to Friday) 

Permanent position to start Sept 2022 - term time only

Penistone St John the Baptist Primary School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, caring and flexible person to support children and parents within our outstanding school. The post will require the successful candidate to carry out a pastoral role assisting in the educational, emotional and social development of students.

Applicants must have:

• Recent relevant experience of working with children in a learning environment

• Relevant qualifications for the post (Minimum Level 3)

• The ability to relate well to children and adults, understanding their needs and being able
   to respond accordingly

• The ability to assist the teacher with a range of learning activities and support pupils in
   their learning, as directed

• A good sense of humour, approachable, flexible and able to work as part of a committed team.
