Job overview
St Clements High school are seeking to appoint a Learning Mentor to support students in Maths, specifically those that are showing signs of underperforming. The ideal candidate will be calm, understanding and patient.
You should be passionate about making a difference to the lives of students with a range of needs.Dedicated to maximising students achievement, have high expectations of behaviour and learning ensuring that every child reaches their full potential, a positive approach to challenge and change and be a flexible team player.
30 hours/week, 38 weeks/year 1 year temporary contract

The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people including positive mental health and expects all staff and volunteers to share in this commitment. All staff appointments are subject to satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check with barred list. We have a committed staff who have worked hard to secure good exam results. Our students told the inspectors "the best thing about this school is the staff, they make the school what it is". Our school has been oversubscribed for several years and has a strong reputation in the area.
Students tell us that they feel safe and happy here, which allows them to concentrate on achieving the best possible progress in lessons. The school provides a broad and balanced curriculum and there is a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities available. Whenever our students work with people from outside they create a very positive impression.
St Clement's High School is part of the West Norfolk Academy Trust which was developed from the success of Springwood High School and also includes Marshland High School, and Smithdon High School.
The school is located in the village of Terrington St Clement which is approximately seven miles from the historic town of Kings Lynn, from where there are regular train links to London and Cambridge. The picturesque North Norfolk coastline is also within easy travelling distance.
