About the role

This is an opportunity for an innovative and flexible Learning Plus Coordinator (P-6) to join a supportive and engaging work environment that fosters diversity, communication, and professional growth.

You will be responsible for the leadership and management of the Learning Plus Department on the Junior Campus via energetically and thoughtfully leading and managing the approach to learning support, differentiation, EALD, enrichment and extension, liaising and working with various stakeholders to ensure our students experience exceptional learning outcomes through support and/or enrichment.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Leadership, management, development, and accountability for learning plus students and their educational programs in collaboration with senior leadership stakeholders

Oversee the implementation of evidence-based educational programs and initiatives for Learning Plus students, including the Response to Intervention (RTI) model, with specific reference to new and relevant research and practice.

Liaise and actively seek to collaborate with Year Coordinators, teachers, parents, and support services to ensure the learning needs of students are met.

Lead through a current knowledge of processes and procedures relating to the diverse needs of students: disability, verification, educational programs, specialist assessments, and data collection.

Coordinate the recording of meticulous and accurate data, including NCCD.


About you

The successful applicant will have an accreditation at Proficient Teacher or above and a demonstrated ability to engage, communicate and mediate effectively with students, families, and staff. They will work with a high level of interpersonal skills contributing positively to a professional staff culture and show organisational, managerial and leadership skills. You will have a background in inquiry-based learning, the ability to engage students in higher order thinking and be experienced in integrating technology into teaching and learning.

The successful applicant will have or be willing to obtain a paid NSW Working With Children Check as well as NESA registration, as requirements of this role.
