We are looking to recruit and experienced librarian/Learning Resource Manager to support the Literacy Co-ordinator to raise the profile of reading for pleasure in the Academy, with a focus on reluctant readers and identified groups of students. To manage the daily operational running of the library to ensure it is well-resourced and used by students to further their love of reading and learning.


You will:

  • Contribute to an environment where students are motivated to achieve and read for pleasure.
  • Ensure a culture of aspiration is established through a focus on high standards in the library.
  • Be an excellent practitioner and role model.
  • Lead by example to ensure a positive, professional and achievement focused ethos is maintained.
  • Effectively work with Salford cluster and UL colleagues to ensures best practice.
  • Provide an approachable, authoritative and visible presence in and around the academy to provide support for staff, students, parents and the local community.
  • Performing other duties determined in discussion with the Literacy Co-ordinator.
