Salary: Grade 5 £17,713 (point 22) to £20,059 (point 26) per annum- actual salary
35 hours per week, term time only (including 5 training days per year)
Manchester Health Academy opened in September 2009 and is sponsored by Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. In September 2010 the Academy moved into a £20 million state-of-the-art building and to accommodate a growing student population we are currently expanding further with a £10 million project set to conclude in September 2018. The Academy is seeking an exceptional candidate to take responsibility for the general management of its library as a resource base. Suitable candidates will therefore have a passion for literature and learning, with an in-depth knowledge of children's literature and current information resources, and will possess the skills and confidence to be able to instruct groups of young people. We are looking for candidates with previous experience of working with young people, who possess excellent ICT skills, with the ability to access and retrieve information, maintain computerised library records and use administrative IT packages.
