Harris City Academy Crystal Palace is a mixed academy for 1,300 students aged 11-18. The academy has three consecutive outstanding judgments by Ofsted, with the most recent inspection in 2014 finding the academy to be outstanding in every aspect. This thriving academy also has a large sixth form with over 300 students. It is one of the most oversubscribed comprehensive schools in the country and in the top 5% for performance.  

 Harris City Academy Crystal Palace is seeking a Learning Resources Manager to run our busy library from September 2017 as Maternity Cover. 

What we are looking for:

  • A qualified Librarian, educated to degree standard or equivalent
  • An excellent standard of written and spoken English
  • Experience of working with young people in an educational or training environment, ideally within a school

Harris City Academy Crystal Palace opened as Harris CTC in 1990 and converted to an academy in September 2007. The academy is a mixed school for 1,300 students aged 11-18 recruiting students from Croydon, Bromley, Lewisham, Southwark and Lambeth. The academy has twice been judged to be outstanding by Ofsted, with the most recent inspection judging the school to be outstanding in every aspect. It is one of the most oversubscribed comprehensive schools in the country, with performance in the top 5% and student progress in the top 3% nationally.
