Are you a motivated and enthusiastic individual who would enjoy working proactively with the senior leadership team within an ambitious school environment?

John Flamsteed Community School is an oversubscribed, Ofsted rated ‘Good’ school, enjoying an excellent local reputation, located in Denby, Derbyshire within easy reach of Nottingham, Derby, Sheffield and the Peak District. We are a member of the East Midlands Education Trust and work in close partnership with other Academies within the Trust. The Headteacher also oversees another school in the Trust and there may be the opportunity for further career development here.

We are a growing, aspirational, friendly and popular school located in a very pleasant semi-rural area.  We have a lovely open site with an extremely pleasant atmosphere. Most often praised by visitors is the smart appearance and excellent behaviour of our students.

An opportunity has now arisen for an experienced Learning Services Lead and Data Manager to become part of our dedicated team.  Applicants must have excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload, whilst working to deadlines, with a high degree of accuracy.  You should have a good working knowledge of Microsoft documents in particular Excel spreadsheets.

In addition, you will be able to demonstrate a detailed knowledge of working with a school management Information system such as SIMS and analytical software such as SISRA.  You will be required to communicate at a senior level with Trust (EMET) departments and other organisations such as the local authority, supply agencies, and supply staff and so excellent communication skills are essential.

You will work closely with the Deputy Headteacher with responsibility for all government/DfE data returns and downloads and information as well as acting as the Data Protection Officer under GDPR and the first point of contact for Evolve. You will work closely with the senior leadership team to collate and prepare all school data.  A comprehensive induction process will be offered.

Completed application forms should be returned to: recruitment@emet.uk.com
