Ashton Sixth Form College is the founding organisation of Stamford Park Trust, a Multi-Academy Trust established in February 2019. All members of staff at Ashton Sixth Form College are employed by Stamford Park Trust.

The College is in the top 10% in the country for student progress on vocational courses and the top 25% in the country for A Level value added.  The college achieved an "Outstanding" rating in its last Ofsted inspection in January 2020.  The college has been recognised as one of the top ten Sixth Form Colleges in the north-west and is a major provider of quality academic and vocational post 16 education. Learning Support Assistant 

Support Staff Scale - Grade 5 – £20,126 - £22,254 (Actual Salary £7,009 - £7,750)

Term time only, 2 days a week

We require an enthusiastic and suitably qualified person to provide high quality support for students with special educational needs; in and out of the classroom.  Being able to work together with students and their teachers, to ensure best possible learning outcomes, is essential; as is being a team player.  Encouraging independence, improving self-confidence and self-esteem are vital aspects of the role: helping prepare students on their path to success.

Ashton Sixth Form College is the leading provider of 16-18 education in the area. The college is located in Tameside, Greater Manchester and supports around 2,000+ students on A-Level and vocational programmes. The college also offers a number of Adult and Higher Education courses.

Over the past three years, Ashton has been ranked in the top 25% of colleges nationally. The DfE performance tables have also placed Ashton as the top college in the borough for the fourth year running (DfE, 2020).
