Learning Support Assistant (Level 1) - 3 full

Temporary, 27.08 hours per week, 5 days per week (Mon - Fri 0850 - 3.25pm during term time, 39 weeks per annum (term time, plus one week)

Grade B (Scale point 9 £17,560 pro-rata’d for part-time hours)

£9.10 per hour plus membership of LGPS

We invite applications for Learning Support Assistants to join our SEND departments in our secondary schools; 2 posts at St Boniface's College (all boys) and 1 post at Notre Dame Plymouth (all girls 7-11 and mixed post-16) and successful candidates will be allocated to posts in either school.

The post will involve working under the direct instruction of teaching/senior staff to support access to learning for students.  Knowledge, or experience, of working with children with special needs would be advantageous.   

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin their career as an LSA; for suitable candidates, a Teaching Assistant qualification can be offered via distance learning under the apprenticeship framework.
