LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT

REQUIRED FOR 28.75 HOURS PER WEEK IN TERM TIME ONLY (39 weeks per year) 8.30am - 3:15pm

Salary Range ME4 pt 3-4 (£20835 - £21210 Full Time Equivalent / £14755 - £15021 Pro Rata)

We are looking for:

• 2 x Learning Support Assistants, to work with children with additional needs, who find it challenging to access the curriculum

The successful Learning Support Assistant candidates will be working closely with individual children to support their educational needs and achieve the outcomes set out in their Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). 

You must be patient and caring, and be a good team player.  Previous experience of working with children with additional educational needs is desirable, but training and support will be available - applicants will need to use their initiative and adapt quickly and intuitively to the needs of the children as well as a have a willingness to learn and receive direction from others.

These posts may be of particular interest to graduates considering a career in teaching and looking to gain experience.

Desirable Qualifications:-

• Particular interest and enthusiasm for working with children and supporting learning
• Experience of caring for or working with primary aged children
• Excellent literacy and numeracy skills: English & Maths GCSE, C or above
