Learning Support Assistant

Saracens High SchoolBarnet

Are you focused on helping young people to be the best they can be? Or perhaps  you want to become a teacher, an educational psychologist, or another education-based career and are looking for that special school to gain some experience in an education setting.

Saracens High School is a new free school that opened in September 2018 for pupils aged 11-18, in the Colindale area of North London.

As we expand into our fourth year, we are looking for Learning Support Assistants to join our Grow and Thrive team. The successful candidates will be passionate about working with young people, and preferably have a knowledge of the local area or similar area. We offer exceptional training and development opportunities and do all we can to support you in this role, and to achieve your aspirations, while you help the children to achieve theirs.  You will  will work initially across the school, before specialising within an identified subject area, where you will be supporting and learning from others,  and developing your own pedagogy. The ability to specialise in literacy would be welcome, but not necessary.

Our school is a place where a person enters the building and knows this is a school where the learner is empowered to “be the best that they can possibly be”; where the individual abilities of each pupil are recognised, and where coaching for life skills as well as academic excellence is at the core of all we do.
