Learning Support Assistant

Parkway Primary school is a popular, oversubscribed one form entry school with highly motivated children and supportive staff.  We have high expectations of children’s learning and attainment and our pupils are well-behaved, and are keen to learn. We are seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant with an interest and/or experience of working with children with SEN, to our existing team of friendly staff. This post will be working with children with EHCPs or other SEN needs in our specialist provision for children with MLD.

This post is considered to be a customer-facing position; as such it falls within scope of the Code of Practice on English language requirement for public sector workers.  The school therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the person specification. These will be applied during the recruitment/selection and probationary stages.
