Learning Support Assistant
The Role
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, creative and dedicated individual to the Learning Support Department at AGSB. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be part of a well-established and successful team which supports students across all year groups and empowers them to fulfil their full potential. The role itself is fast-paced and varied. Responsibilities include providing learning support, SEN support and mentoring to individuals or groups of pupils, providing cover for short-term teaching absence, working closely with teaching staff to support students in lessons and completing administrative tasks. The ability to build positive working relationships with both staff and pupils is essential.
Applications are invited from individuals with experience of working in a school but those with experience of working in other fields should not be deterred from making an application. Full training will be provided.

Altrincham Grammar School for Boys is an academy school based in Altrincham, Cheshire for boys aged 11-18.
The school was founded in 1912. Altrincham Grammar School for Boys is a multi-ethnic seven-form entry 11-18 selective Academy School. It caters for boys who have been selected for a grammar school education from a wide area of South Manchester and North Cheshire. The academic results are outstanding and they place the School in the top 20 maintained schools in the country. Our GCSE results are strong in respect of 9/8 grades and our ‘A’ level results in respect of A*/A/B grades. The 2022 Ofsted Report graded the School as ‘Outstanding in all area’.
