Tes is supporting this Secondary school who are looking for enthusiastic, motivated individuals who can build supportive relationships with students, based on high expectations, positive regard and care.  

Candidates will need excellent teamwork and communication skills, a genuine interest in working with young people, flexible thinking and a willingness to learn.  Caring, patience and resilience are key.   

Their Learning Support Assistants work both inside and outside the classroom, on a one-to-one and group basis, supporting students with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities.  

Working alongside class teachers and also within the Learning Support Hub, you will support students in their academic achievement, as well as with their mental health, wellbeing and inclusion.    

The students cover the full range of abilities and no two days are the same.  

The role can be both challenging and rewarding and you will need to be proactive and motivated to effectively identify and support students’ needs.  

Ideally, the school are looking for experienced candidates who hold a recognised teaching assistant qualification, but they are also committed to training LSAs and developing their skills.  

The school are open to flexible working hours and would welcome a discussion with potential applicants to explore a mutually convenient work pattern.

Their Learning Support Assistants receive a comprehensive training package to secure continued professional development.
