8.45am - 3.15pm (12.15pm-1.15pm is lunchtime)

Ashingdon Primary Academy is a small, thriving one form entry academy sitting in the heart of our community. We are part of Academies Enterprise Trust (AET), a network of 66 primary, secondary and special academies throughout England.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Learning Support Assistant to join our team as a class LSA and to support SEN children on a 1:1 basis, when required.

The successful candidate will need to have a qualification that is at least NVQ level 2 or equivalent, and Maths and English GCSEs, grade C or equivalent.

The successful candidate should also:

  • Have experience of working in KS2 and feel confident that they are able to support the teaching and learning demands of children in this phase.
  • Have experience of supporting pupils with SEN
  • Be resilient and positive, showing initiative and flexibility
  • Have a confident grasp of literacy and mathematics
  • Be able to work as part of a team under the direction of the class teacher or SENCO
  • Be firm and consistent
  • Be approachable, patient and understanding
